my iphone 5S finger print touch sensor got damaged , replacement of touch sensor will work touch id ?

A local service person damaged my iphone 5s touch sensor while replacing the strip , after that only home button is working , finger print sensor is not working 😟 , only passcode option in settings, no touch id n passcode ... replacement of touch sensor will work the touch id ??my friend said no use of replacing touch sensor because it wont work itseems :/ plz guide me 😟

This thread is quite old but anyways, there is no way you can get touch id working by yourself except if you use the original one which came with the device itself. Every touch ID is uniquely matched with the processor. Your only possible way to get it working again is to send it to apple, maybe then can reprogram the device for you. If not, like others already said, you need a new logic board.
