when i try to buy an app from the app store it says my bank records dont match

when i tried to buy Afterlight i was putting in my payment information, it said my bank records do not match.

iPhone 5s, iOS 7.1.1

Is the name address on your iTunes account in exactly the same (format and spacing etc) as on your credit card bil. You could try what it suggests on this page : http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1646 - and if that doesn't fix it try contacting your card issuer :


If the issue persists, contact your credit card company and verify that they and any company they use to process credit card authorisations have the correct information on file.


If they say that it's ok from their end then you could try contacting iTunes support and see if they know why : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
