itunes 7.0 and motorola slvr

I own a Motorola SLVR L7. I updated iTunes on my PC to 7.0 yesterday (because I could not download my pre-order otherwise). Any music I have purchased on 7.0 can be transferred to my phone, but will not play. Do I need to update the version of iTunes on my phone? And, if so, where can I get that done? Thanks!

how do you put the songs on to your slvr from itunes.
please help i have been playing with this for three
days.

Once your music is imported into itunes, connect your phone via the usb cable that came with your phone. The phone should be on. Itunes should recognize your phone. In the left pane, you should now see a new device. You can then drag/drop music from your library into your phone. It will take some time to transfer (a LONG time for me, but that's an issue for another thread). After the songs are done transferring, you can disconnect the usb cable, plug in your headphones, and listen to them on your phone. Or you should be able to anyhow. There have been a few issues for some people.

I just found a way to solve the problem -sort of. I took CD I just bought on iTunes (the new TV on the Radio albumn, check it out!) that would load onto my phone but wouldn't play once it got there. I burned the albumn onto a CD, deleted the songs from my Library & then uploaded the songs I'd burned to CD. I then transferred these songs onto my phone and they play fine!

Now granted, that's a lot of REALLY ANNOYING work to do to get songs I just paid for onto my phone. I will not be buying any more music on iTunes until the problem is fixed. In any event, I hope this helps people out.
