itunes 7.0 and motorola slvr

I am having the same exact problem the songs downloaded prior to the itunes 7 update will play but not the ones I bought after i updated.

how do you put the songs on to your slvr from itunes. please help i have been playing with this for three days.

I'm having the same trouble too. That means there is some new DRM stuff. I bet they forgot about the lowly phone users on the new iPod update.

I'm having this issue as well. As the poster pointed out, it only is a problem for new tracks that I've purchased while using itunes7. It does not affect tracks purchased before my upgrade.

Once your music is imported into itunes, connect your phone via the usb cable that came with your phone. The phone should be on. Itunes should recognize your phone. In the left pane, you should now see a new device. You can then drag/drop music from your library into your phone. It will take some time to transfer (a LONG time for me, but that's an issue for another thread). After the songs are done transferring, you can disconnect the usb cable, plug in your headphones, and listen to them on your phone. Or you should be able to anyhow. There have been a few issues for some people.

I am having the same problem also with my Motorola L7 after I did the update to 7.0. I just downloaded all these songs and cannot even play them on my phone. If I could get some help on how to solve this, that would be great.

I'm having the same problem playing my music as well, but it's not music downloaded before or after 7, it's all of my music. If someone finds a solution to this problem please post it immediately.

I'm having the same problem with my Mororola ROKR E1. Songs bought before the upgrade word fine but songs bought afterward don't. They play on iTunes but not not on my phone.

I just found a way to solve the problem -sort of. I took CD I just bought on iTunes (the new TV on the Radio albumn, check it out!) that would load onto my phone but wouldn't play once it got there. I burned the albumn onto a CD, deleted the songs from my Library & then uploaded the songs I'd burned to CD. I then transferred these songs onto my phone and they play fine!

Now granted, that's a lot of REALLY ANNOYING work to do to get songs I just paid for onto my phone. I will not be buying any more music on iTunes until the problem is fixed. In any event, I hope this helps people out.

yeah i guess that technically works. i wont be wasting my time doing it though. i would rather Apple fix the problem. i too will not be purchasing any more music from the store until the problem is fixed.

No that does not work, there is not an option to reset the iPod on the setting screens for the SLVR. I also reauthorized and reauthorized iTunes. iTunes is not treating the phones like a regular iPod.

I'm having the same problem. As soon as I upgraded to iTunes I can no longer access new music on my SLVR.

I'm very surprised Apple did this.

is this the same problem as where recently downloaded songs wont play?

I don't think that it is because I tried the suggestions that are on the page that talks about it and my songs still do not play.
