when i try to install itunes 7, i get a message saying that the isscript.msi file is out of date. i went and updated the .msi file from the installshield website and got the same error when i tried to install. any input? anybody else having this problem?
Hmm, the uninstall of the previous iTunes / Quicktime is failing. To force uninstall these applications, download and install the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility.
It was the Quicktime installer causing this problem on mine. I took the main installer apart to figure out which one it was. I tried the cleaner and it was still coming back with the problem, but I'm sure it'll help someone out there.
Why Apple didnt ship the latest ISScript11.msi with their install I dont know.
Because, JudgeJules, I suppose Apple is solving the problem by removing InstallShield from their installer because the iTunes 7.0 no longer uses InstallShield. However, since the Uninstall from iTunes <old version> is what's failing, they would need a time machine to fix that.
I believe the time machine isn't shipping until Leopard.
How did my Install Shield get out of Date??? Have installed the most current version from the Internet, yet the error still persists. WHY????? Who is going to address this and fix the error????
