Include tab history in iCloud Tabs

How can I see a tab's history when I open it via iCloud Tabs? For instance, if I have a tab open in Safari on my iPhone, I can open the same tab in Safari on my Mac. But the tab's history does not come along with the tab; only the URL for that one page appears, but I can't go "Back" to a previous page in the same tab's history.

How can I do this?

Thanks in advance!

Mac mini (Late 2012), OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.4), 2.3 GHz i7, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD

I'm not talking about Safari history in general. I'm talking about the history for my open tabs. When you open a tab, often you go to Google, search for something, then click on an article.

If I were to open that tab via iCloud on another device, I would only have access to that article that I clicked on. But I want to be able to also click the "Back" button to go back to the search results too. But I can't, because it appears that iCloud does not sync tab history. Unless it does?

Chrome DOES sync tab history, for instance, which is why I often use it to sync between devices.
