I want to revert to iTunes 11.1.5. I have the latest version but it is incompatible with Overdrive (library software to transfer audiobooks to ipod). Where can I find a file to install iTunes 11.1.5?

I want to revert to iTunes 11.1.5. I have the latest version of iTunes now but it is incompatible with Overdrive (library software to transfer audiobooks to ipod). I contacted Overdrive and this is a known issue they cannot currently fix. However, if I can revert to an older version of iTunes, that should fix it.

So, my question is, where can I find a file to install iTunes 11.1.5?

I already know how to uninstall and reinstall programs, but I need to find the iTunes 11.1.5 installer from a safe and trusted source.

Thanks.

Are they working on an update to fix it?

Or is Overdrive simply never going to work again with newer versions of iTunes?

Apple is a good source.

Hello stuartb3502, you should be aware that 11.1.5 couldn't support mobile devices running anything newer than iOS 7. But if you don't need mobile device support, then 11.1.5 was an historic version: the last to support XP SP2, and the last to run error-free on Vista. I have it installed on my Vista PC for that reason. I wrote at considerable length about the difficulties of downgrading to 11.1.5 here: How to reinstall iTunes 11 to Windows Vista? Good luck!

As to your other question, the problem is only with WMA files (the most common format on Overdrive afaik). They are working to replace WMA files with MP3 files so there is no need for conversion, but no idea how long that will take. They are also trying to find a workaround for the problem. At this point, though, they can't offer me any solution. Reverting to an older version of iTunes was my idea, if I can find the file. The link only had a 32-bit version, though, and I need 64-bit...
