Measurements of the laptop???

I haven't recieved my laptop yet and am trying to buy a laptop bag for it... however I can't find anything that is considered a "laptop bag" that I like so I was going to just buy a cute messenger bag for it... would anyone be able to tell me the measurements of the computer so I can know what size bag too look for?? And maybe how much allowance I should give with the bag?? Any help would be great!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!

Just go to the Apple store, choose the MacBook Pro you have (15- or 17-inch) and check the dimensions in specifications.

In looking at laptop bags on the 'Net, make certain their specifications will handle the length-width-depth of your MBP with a tad to spare, so that you don't have to cram it in. Some vendors aren't very helpful on that last point.
