Choose Preferences from the Finder menu, click on the Sidebar tab, and check the box for it. Alternatively, locate it in the Finder, choosing Computer from the Go menu if needed, and drag it back.

Thanks so much Niel. Been backing up and trying to figure out for hours. Stuck mouse was culprit that started it all. Again Thanks.
How about this one. Can't boot from 2nd internal hard drive. Apple logo then Blue Screen. Have run Tech Tool Pro and disk utilities to no availe. Went I open from main drive I see and document Icon and a "~". Is that a mounting point or should I delete it. The second drive is a clone of the Main.
