Q: Windows won't stop deselecting like every 8 seconds!! I know what's causing it but don't know how don't know how to fix!!

Help guys!! It's really difficult to type this right now because the text boxes keep deselecting around every 5-10 seconds!! I know what's causing because it says in the console but I can't remove/uninstall it. I can't remove the menubar item and when I searched what's causing it in the finder I found a "uninstall.sh" fille. Apparently, something called "OnlineBackupd" is causing it. Here's a pic of my console. Also I already remove the "OnlineBackupd" thing from my preference pane and Cmd + drag won't remove the menubar icon.

Also here's the pic of the file I found:

http://puu.sh/9ydEX/845fd6a2a7.png

The file looks like it tells me how to uninstall it but I don't want to do anything before I know for sure.

Please help guys!

Did you install carbonite, mozy, backblaze or some other backup service?

Log out under the Apple in the Menu bar.

Hold down the Shift key and log in.

Does this help? If yes, it's a login item. Open System Preferences > Users & Groups > Login items. Look for the culprit and remove.

Download EtreCheck and paste results here for help troubleshooting.

No, it's a program from Verizon FiOS. I'll try what you suggested.

Okay, I just tried it and it didn't work, all I know is that the OnlineBackup thing is probably not compatible with Mavericks.

The etrecheck report will show all the Launch Agents, Launch Daemons along with other hidden files that would need to be removed.

I would check for an uninstaller. That would be the easiest option, but often these uninstallers leave files. That's whay the report is good to verify what needs to be removed.

Now, it seems to have stopped for now. Thanks for your time, and I will reply again if it happens again.

I'm not sure what Trend micro manager is but I see two items listed in startup items. If it's a daemon you delete both and let the app make a new one. If it's the app, remove one.

I see a lot of not loaded and failed. I would address those items to be sure they are updated or if you no longer use.

You need to cleanup the LogMeIn. They recently changed their install and it looks like you still have some of the old files.

Trend micro is a program that came with the computer and I can't seem to get rid of them through the login items and I don't utilize LogMeIn anymore.

Since you don't use LogMeIn any more, I would advise you to uninstall it...

When you say that you rebooted into safe mode, by pressing and holding the shift key as the Mac is booting up. But it didn't work. What happened when you booted into SafeMode? Did it continue to do this de-selecting while in SafeMode?

Okay, I cleaned up the LogMeIn, now thw problem is that I can't remove the Verizon menubar icon even after I deleted all the files associated with it with "Secure Empty Trash". Also, the Cmd + drag doesn't work either and it's not in my login items.

That's "Charter Cloud Drive." You should follow the developer's instructions to remove it, if that's what you want to do. Back up all data locally before making any changes.

Trend Micro is not a default app that was installed. Did you buy a used Mac? If yes, I would recommend backup up your data to an external drive then do an erase and install.

"OS X: How to erase and install" using Recovery Drive

If you want, you can also install OS X on an external drive http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5911, or create an external recovery disk http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1433.
