How can I email a slideshow from IDVD that somebody can see either in a .mov format mp4, etc

How can I change the file extension in IDVD to be able to post on my website? I need one of the following formats. MPEG, M4V, AVI, MOV, WMV, 3GP, MKV, MP4, MTS, FLV, DV

iDVD '08, OS X Mavericks (10.9.3)

Just tried to download this and it doesn't work. Any tips on downloading. It says my Mac is missing something.

That's an iDVD project file, not a burned video DVD disk image.


If the slideshow is from stills and created in iDVD you have two options:


1 - find the photos used to create the slideshow and recreate the slideshow in iPhoto or iMovie and export from iPhoto as a movie file. That will give you the best quality movie file. The Project ➙ Project Info menu in iDVD

will open the Project Info window and show you were the photos are located that are used in the slideshow:

Using the source files to recreate the slideshow will give you a much higher qualily slideshow movie file than option #2 below:


2 - save the iDVD project as a disk image via the File ➙ Save as Disk Image menu option and then rip with Handbrake. This will result is a lower quality movie file that can be created by iPhoto or iMovie.
