Cannot use printer Epson CX 3810

I connected the printer and tried to print from iphoto but a window popped up saying "printer error". Then I inserted the CD that came with the printer and nothing happened immediately. So then I clicked on the CD and clicked on some more icons and the computer made some noise. Then I tried to print again and same error message came up.

Can anyone help?

You will need to add the printer using the Gutenprint drivers. While there is a version of these drivers installed with Tiger by default, I recommend that you download the latest version. There is a vast improvement in the latest release.

You will find that Mac computers will not automatically run a CD-ROM or DVD-ROM that contains software or data when you insert it. This is a security measure.
