Restoring Safari Bookmarks

Had to reinstall system. All back up with Time Machine. Finally got everything re-installed but cannot figure out how to re-install and restore Safari Bookmarks.

Quit the application.

In Finder hold down the option/alt key while selecting the Go menu item. Select Library. Then go to Preferences/Safari. There should be a bookmarks.plist there. Enter Time Machine and restore the old one.

Restart, open the application and test.

If you want to make your user library permanently visible, run the below command in Applications/Utilities/Terminal.

chflags nohidden ~/Library/

You will need to do that after any updates.

Before you enter Time Machine, go to your User's folder Library as Eric directed.

Locate the Safari folder.

Now enter Time Machine and you'll be in the correct location to restore bookmarks.plist file.

Note: unless you unhide the User's Library you can't enter the User's Library in Time Machine without first entering in the Finder first.
