In the Print window the option to Print Selection is messing since the Mavericks update. I have only 1 option and that is to ring the whole page. What I am having to do now is copy and paste what I want to print into Text Edit then print.

The âPrint Selectionâ option would only exist on a Per-application basis. The Application renders the page and sends the rendered info to the printer.
Was that option available in the same app you are using, now?
The option was available prior to the Mavericks upgrade.

Also when doing a reinstall Apples Software update show printer to be a different version that mine is. I am really unhappy with what Mavericks has done with this. đ
The option exists in supported/supporting programs.
As you can see here, it is available in Word, but not in Safari:
It is not an OS âfeature.â It is wholly dependent on the Application to provide that support.
Printer manufacturers provide the driver. It is on software update for convenience.
I understand the frustration, though.

Following the Mavericks upgrade Safari seemed to work so much better for me that I changed from Firefox to safari. It seemed to use less memory, and I have not tried it again. I did not realize that it made so much of a difference. Thank you so much. I will close this mystery now. I just wish I had known this much earlier.. I did not even occur to me..Duh..
It is in Firefox and Chrome but not Safari. Odd. Thank you so much for your help.
