How to customize the printing port number on mac?
I use OSX 10.9.3 and need to change the printing port number to 93100 which is not a standard protocol port.
I have searched on the net and clicked on all the buttons inside ADD PRINTER area but I cannot find anything.
Maybe this functionality does not exist on mac at all?
Any tips would be greatly appreciated:)
Try the standard addressing syntax of adding the port after the IP address, such as 152.144.247.45:39100
Whatever you sort out, don’t bother trying 93100 as it doesn’t exist.
More specifically:
In Print & Scan prefs, click on “ + “ to add, then Control-click on the toolbar (top part where it says IP, Windows, etc). Add the “Advanced” icon to your toolbar.
for type, select Jetdirect. For URL, fill in socket://192.168.0.100:39100.
(IP address is just an example - note that the port is after the “ : “ )
select driver, etc.
Meant to say - after adding the advanced icon, click on it!

Nope. I was a decade after that. Started in Varks at Cannon. Taught UNT at Pensacola after that. Then Strikes at Lakenheath. I think that would be the extent of any possible overlap.
