Moving photos

Hello,

I have over 50 GB of photos on my computer and want to move them to an external hard drive. How do I do this?

The simplest way is to connect the hard drive, make sure it is formatted correctly as Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and then simply drag and drop your iPhoto Library to that drive using the Finder.

If you want to move only a part of your iPhoto Library, and want to move the photos as image files and not as an iPhoto library, use the menu command "File > Export, Kind "Current"" to export selected photos. You could do this for each event separately, to create separate folders for each event.
