why i m getting .ds store again and again and my startup disk is filed with in one or two days even when i am i freed 5 gb?

I am owing mac book with os 10.5.8

my issue is my startupdisk space filled in 2days up to 5GB

i removed lot of files even when i feel i shouldn't delete...again it is startup disk is full.

i am having ipad too which is automatically upgraded and itunes is asking for update..

i tunes is not upgraded mentioning error message as my version of itunes to be upgraded. new itune .dmg file is not installing in this version of os 10.5.8
