unable to pair to my TV using youtube

I used to pair my iPhone to my smart TV using youtube to be able to type my search youtube using my iPhone virtual keyboard. I used to go to the page youtube.com/pair on my phone safari, and it used to work perfectly.

Recently every time I type that in the address bar it starts loading then it goes to the youtube app for seconds then it goes to web helper.centurylink.com.

My iPhone is 4s. I tried from my wife's iPhone 4 and the same happened. I was able however to pair using my android tablet and my Mac.

What can the problem be? How to be able to pair again.

When I try to go to that address on my iPhone 5s using Safari, it takes me right to the pairing page to type in the code from the TV. Try clearing all history and cookies from the iPhone, then do a reset, holding the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. Once the phone reboots, try again.

There seems to be something that is redirecting your browser. Mine does not do that. I have the Samsung Smart TV as well. Something is causing the redirect of your Safari browser. If you are willing, you can go to Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. That will reset all of the settings on the phone, and you will have to re-enter Wi-Fi passwords, etc., but it could clear this problem that is not being cleared by clearing history and cookies. And, it is easier than doing a full restore on the phone.
