HFS Read/Write Application

Hello there. I am in need of a Application that is native to Mac OS X, can read and write to HFS formatted drives. On a second note, can Mac OS 8.6 read and write to HFS+ formatted ZIP Disks?

1. Mac OS X 10.5.8 or earlier can do this natively.

Thanks. Heres the issue:

1. I only have macs that shipped with 10.6+

2. There is a lot of data on the drives

3. Is there a app for writing to HFS formatted volumes for OS X? I know that there is one for Windows, but is there one for Mac?
