How to connect a disabled iphone to the internet

I forgot my iphone passcode, so after trying for many times it said to connect to itunes. I don't have access to a computer that has itunes and when I try to install it, something goes wrong. All my attempts have failed.

I read something about enabling an iphone by erasing data from "find my iphone", but a problem arises. It says that the data will be erased only if the device is connected to the internet. How do I conncect my disabled iphone to the internet?

And by the way, it's an iphone 3 haha

Even if your iPhone is disabled because of a passcode lockout, it may still be connected to the internet via cellular data or wi-fi.

Go to www.icloud.com, log in with the same Apple ID used to enable Find My iPhone on that iPhone, and then perform a 'remote wipe' of the iPhone.
