moving line objects

Hi,

I am using Keynote 2 and have problems moving objects consiting of thin lines (like a circle) out of an area with many similar objects with the mouse. It is already difficult to mark a specific object with the mouse, but grabbing it without marking another object in that area seems to be impossible.

Hope I missed something trivial.

I'm not sure what you mean by "mark" the objects. If an object is locked, even if it is selected, it will not move when you move some other object. You can, for example, selected a locked object along with an unlocked one, and the cursor keys will only move the unlocked item. To make an unlocked shape easier to move, you can even select it along with locked items, and then fill the shape -- all the locked shapes will remain unchanged. Once filled, it is easy to grab the unlocked shape with the cursor, move it, and then unfill it again.

Ok, that helps a little bit.

But still, how to I grab and move a circle consisting of a thin line and no filling? I mark it by clicking on the circle, but how do I actually grab and move it? This seems to me such a simple task, why is it so difficult?

Moving with keys works, but is sometimes very slow. Is there a 'fast moving' key combination? I tried things like Shift-Arrow etc.
