How can I connect points on a numbers chart

I have a table in Numbers (3.2) with multiple series and dates but missing data points, (Example Below). Is there any way to connect the lines in a chart?

I have tried a scatter graph as previously suggested, and trend lines aren't accurate enough. I won't be able to run averages in the gaps.

Numbers just works this way when there are missing data points. You can assign the missing data to be a previous value or something fancier (like a linear interpolation between the previous and next points).
