iMessage problem on my ipod. Whenever someone messages me on imessage and my ipod is locked it'll come up on my lock screen and even if I don't swipe the message, imessage automatically pops up and opens the conversation. How do I stop this?
Go to Settings > Notification Center > Tap Messages > Turn off "Show on Lock Screen"
I don't want to stop them from showing on my lock screen, I want to stop it from opening the conversation.
What do you mean it opens automatically? Do you have a passcode on your device?
So if the phone is locked and you watch the screen as a message comes in, does it automatically (without any interaction) open the conversation or what? Do you see the alert then it automatically opens without touching it?

Use in Notifications Center > Messages > Show Preview: OFF.
you see how you have an option from either swiping the message to go to the convo and swiping to unlock... well I would swipe to unlock and instead of it going to the app I locked my ipod on it'll go to the conversation on imessage. Do you understand?
I understand now. The only time it should be doing that is if you swipe the message instead of the unlock option. If you are sure you are swiping the "Swipe to unlock" and it's doing that, I would Reset All Settings and see if that makes a difference.
