Straight Talk not showing 4G (HSPA+)

Has anyone used Straight Talk with an unlocked At&t iPhone 5?

I can't quite hammer down if this service uses the 4G data connection logo or not... I have the At&t SIM, not T-mobile.

Checked, I do have 4G coverage in the areas I go, which is what brings up the discussion.

Note, my reference to 4G = HSPA+ (and variants) in this discussion. LTE works great, I am going to be visiting lots of 4G areas soon and I want to make sure my phone is working on all of the networks available.

If I put in a RedPocket SIM, it shows the 4G connection.

If I turn off LTE with ST, it goes to 3G and Speedtest.net shows its not quite 4G fast (90ms ping 3mbps down, 1 up)

Fun fact, Austria's 3G network runs at 10mbps down and 4 up. (I had high hopes for At&t) I was mistaken...

Plus, I've seen At&t phones with the 4G data logo, but what I don't know is if Straight Talk does it also...

Also, what are the average data speeds you've seen for At&t 3G and 4G? (just getting a baseline)

Anyone see anything like this before?
