Problem transfering pdf to adobe reader ipad

hello, Please i'm having problems transferring pdfs to my adobe reader. I just update my ipad 2 from ios 5 to ios 7.1. I also uninstalled the previous adobe reader and installed the latest version. The problem is i can't seem to transfer files to any application at all. i have adobe reader and office2 HD. They both show up in itunes but if i click add files and select a file, it isn't added to the list and also there are files in the office2 hd but they dont show in itunes.

Use "Open In" Adobe Reader.

I want to transfer the pdfs from my PC to the iPad. Before, if i plug in the iPad to my linux the iPad drive as well as the documents drive get mounted but no just the iPad drive is mounted and in iTunes like i said when a file is selected it isn't added to the app and the ones i have in the app are not showing up in iTunes.

USe File Sharing to transfer the PDF file.

That's what i;m using. Adobe reader and office2 HD appear but there are no files in their respective list of documents. Clicking add and choosing a file still doesn't add them to the list.

Did you tap the Sync button after you added the files?

yes, i did. In the past, you didn't even need to do that. This all happened after i upgraded my os to 7.1 and i updated itunes.

You can copy and paste all your PDF to Dropbox on computer.

Files will be waiting for you on the iPad.

Well, that's not really a solution. Data is quite expensive where i'm currently located so i guess i'll just have to manage iBooks. Thanks a lot for your help. I just wish an apple staff can give me a solution.
