I would like to purchase apple tv to make my HD tv in to smart TV. As i browsed the features of apple tv I dint see any browser like safari or Google chrome available in apple TV. So I want to know that is it possible to install the internet browsers in apple TV?
no you can't install apps on Apple TV and it does not have a browser
but if you have a supported iOS device like iPad or iPhone or iPod touch you can airplay mirror it's screen to the tv using the appletv
and if their screen is displaying a browser then you got what you wish
It made perfect sense when posted, and still does. Apple TV versions 1 to 3 did not have the capacity for user installed apps. Apple TV 4 does, but there are no browser type apps as Apple has prohibited them thus far. Screen mirroring from an iPhone, iPad or iPod touch is still possible.

Hi. There are no internet browsers in the TV app store, so you cannot install a browser on Apple TV. It has never been a feature of Apple TV, and probably never will.
