I am cutting a music video and after I pick the Audio and then the video clips that was shot to the audio, the video clips spread over an hour, even though the song is only 3 minutes.
Why isn't it syncing? I never had this issue before, but it's done it the last few videos which means I have to manually move each video clip inside the ediotr to the proper place, which takes forever.
Can you post screen shots of what you're getting? How many cameras did you use? Or are you repeating the action the same cameras? You need to assign camera angles before you make the multicam clip, or if the clips are coming from the same camera, the application will assume they are sequential.

I have done a ton of these before and never had to assign camera angels. yes it was from one camera different takes. You mean I have to rename the clips? Or what way do I assign camera angles?
Doesn't audio just sync it up? It was always like that for me. Unless it has changed.
The automatic behavior is to use the camera ID as a source for organizing the clips. If all the clips come from the same camera ID the application assumes they're all the same angle unless you tell it otherwise. You can assign the camera angle number in the Info Inspector.

I have another question. Once I have a multicam clip synced. I know I add other clips to it, but it seems they have to be added manually through adding another angle. Anyway to have FCPX add them automatically through some sync?
Yes and no. Add a blank lane in the angle editor. Drag the clip into. Select the video and audio angle you want to use to sync to. From the triangle popup at the head of the lane select Sync to Monitoring Angle or some such.
