Google icon disappeared from iPad

The Google search icon just disappeared from my iPad. I'm not sure if it disappeared during an update as I set mine to update automatically.

When I plug my iPad into my iMac and open iTunes, thinking I can sync it. But it seems like the Google search app icon is still in my iTunes, but is greyed out. User uploaded file

So what does that mean about the app? I tried re-installing the app on the ipad, but there is no option in the iOS App Store to do that, no iCloud icon, no INSTALL button either.

Can someone give me some pointers on how to put the Google search icon back on the iPad please?

Thank you

Michelle

Did you try tapping on the icon to see if the app does launch? It could just be a wonky icon that got corrupted for some reason.

Does the app even appear in the app store on your iPad? If so, what icon does it show if not an Install button?

I would start by resetting your iPad and see if that fixes it.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.
