I am a student from India and we have an exchange scheme on iPad which makes it affordable for me to purchase. But my main question is that should i go for the 4th Generation iPad considering iPad Air is already in the market. Also, if i buy the iPad 4th Generation will be outdated in a jiffy?
It won't be outdated. I have an iPad 2 which will be 3 years old in August and it still works fine.
If my 2 is eligible for the iOS 8 update, then your 4 will be as well and as long as the device can get iOS updates then it's easier to keep the apps up to date and functioning. I think the biggest issue I have with my 2 is if I happen to want a new case or the such the selection is getting pretty slim because they're no longer being made.
Your device should work just fine for a good period of time.
I have one and works fine and is like iPad air. Is not difference. And i like the Retina Display.
