I used to have a lot of pictures and a lot of app,I deleted most of it and the message still appears and alway says to buy more storage as I still have 20gb free.

Your iCloud storage amount has nothing to do with how much space is available on your iPhone.

icloud storage and device storage are very different.

go to

settings>General>usage

you can then see the two seperate entries.

icloud storage is for backup of settings and such, device storage is for apps, music, books and such.

you cannot load more onto the device if it is out of space.

I have the same (or similar) problem - my phone says i have about 50% of phone storage occupied by photos, but i deleted all my photos and videos and it still doesnt reduce the amount of space it says is being occupied by photos.... what can i do?
