How to make an editable template in Pages...

....for quickly inputting text. I need to be able to tab through each field quickly, as you would in a basic online form. Any ideas guys and girls?

In Pages v5.2, create a new pages document from a blank template. Define each entry field as « Field-1 », « Field-2 », etc. Select each angle-bracketed field item and define as placeholder text (Format > Advanced > Define as Placeholder Text), along with any other boilerplate text inclusion. Save this Pages document. Then from File > Save as Template… save it in your My Templates folder.

When you create a new document with this template from the chooser, you must click on each visible text field to fill it. These are not form fields, and tabs and tab order are not available functionality.

Future updates to the template start with editing the source Pages document, and saving it before choosing File > Save as Template… again. You then replace the older version of the template.

Thanks. Appreciate it. I was already using Define as Placeholder, I was just hoping to be able to TAB (cycle) through each form field to speed things up. I guess that's more of a Numbers thing (which I don't use).

but anyways, thanks again.
