is there any alternative solution to this. without downloading other apps just to make the transfer. or burning all that music to cds then back to my computer.

What type of device are we talking about? For non-iOS devices you should be able to rescue the songs with nothing more than Windows Explorer or Finder. If some Windows scripts for recovering stats and playlists too if you want those.
