I have a problem with the Facebook and Twitter app updateing using WIFI. Both apps work fine with 3g and on my home WIFI. I can access both programs using a web browser on desktop and on Ipad and iphone. This only happens in work behind proxy, but as I say browsers allow access to the sites.
Anybody any solutions?

You will need to talk to your companies IT support
IT support believe the problem is with IOS 7 as it is possible to access the sites on the same devices via the browser and on computers connected via cable, the problem is with the apps and the operating system.
if the apps work on your wifi and not at your companies, what does that tell you
Your companies IT is blocking the specific ports that those apps are attempting to use via their firewall, you will need to find out which ports the apps use and have IT open the communication for them.
but, I will tell you as an IT professional, Our corporate network blocks those ports and many social websites from being accessed inside our offices from any device, or browser as the needs of the employees job do not necessitate them updating their status while at the office.
