Podcast App Crashing

Mine is crashing like crazy on my iPhone and iPad.

I should note that my crashes strated since I updated to 7.1.2 iOS. The only way to keep the app open more than a couple of seconds is to turn on airplane mode.

Me too. My podcast app was fine yesterday and today I can't keep it open for more than a few seconds. I've done everything mentioned in the troubleshooting article. Oddly enough it works fine on my iPhone but not my iPad. I am more than sick of the bugginess of iOS 7 and it's many useless updates. Fix. it. Apple.

Looks like updating to new iOS fixed my issue (so far). I did not crash while downloading apps over a wi fi network and NOT in airplane mode

I turned off cellular data usage and it seems to be working. Granted I'm in a no wifi area so who knows what would happen if I did have online access, but short of putting the phone in airplane mode this is the next best thing. Gonna check back here later when I get home before doing the ios update to see what's new.

This seems to be a repeat of my problem on June 26. I thought Apple fixed it, but it appears to have broken again. Just tried again and it seems to be working.

I'll have to turn off Airplane mode to see the update I suppose!! Crashy Thrashy started this afternoon in South Berwick, Maine.

This is the second time in a week. Airplane mode technique worked both times, but still.

Same problem started for me after the 7.1.2 update. Tampa, FL area.

Just adding to the critical mass so they'll fix this ASAP. I'm on 7.1.1, it's been a problem for over a week, and it happened only after I updated to the latest version of Podcast app on the app store. My phone says I'm running at Podcast app version "2.1.2 (586)".

Still doesn't look like his is fixed. I couldn't start the ppodcasts app without going into airplane mode first thismorning. So this is affecting word wide. I'm in New Zealand.

Solution:I turned phone onto airplane mode, opened the app, waited while everything refreshed, then turned airplane off.

Everything working fine now.

1) That's been covered.

2) That's not a solution, that's a work around. A solution would be Apple making this problem go away.

Just to confirm and keep up the pressure. This just started happening for me (in NZ). Updated to the latest iOS but no change.

OT: Just curious— I've also had trouble with dictation since Sunday. Today was impossible. Anyone else?
