Jul 1, 2014 8:04 AM in response to JackFosterby TravisJ643,CrApple, I hope you are reading this thread. It is obviously a problem that will NOT fix itself. It worked until the last update, so I would suggest you figure out what you did wrong and fix it. And, while you're at it, fix the iOS version of iWork! I am getting tired of not being able to be connected to iCloud, it is very inconvenient.
Also, I love how these have been flooding in since the update for the Podcast was released on May 29th, over a month ago, and it still hasn't been fixed. How long does it take to fix a mistake, Apple? You really have become CrApple, congratulations.

Jul 1, 2014 10:58 AM in response to JackFosterby socioecoboy,I was able to get it working again.
1. Put your device in airplane mode.
2. Open the app, select "downloads" and cancel all downloads.
3. Turn airplane mode off. Go back to the app, downloads will start happening again. Try and quickly cancel all downloads.
It make take a couple of times but eventually you'll cancel all the downloads and if it works as it did for me you'll be able to get back to normal operation of the app.
I think the problem occurred while i was having network connection issues and somehow the download list became corrupted. The app doesn't seem to be able to reset once that happens.

Jul 1, 2014 11:02 AM in response to Mark.Bamfordby gillmic,This worked for me, but not a long-term solution obviously. Thank you for posting this fix.
I'm just adding another entry to this thread to get the numbers us so maybe Apple will pay attention. This is wiggity-wack.

Jul 1, 2014 11:04 AM in response to mhkrauseby bmosca07,Additionally, if you have access to wifi and disable the apps cellular usage it will synch podcasts without crashing.
At least my experience as of the last 5 minutes.

Jul 1, 2014 11:08 AM in response to JackFosterby pappy53,I solved this problem on my iPad Mini by connecting it to my desktop with the USB cable and synching with iTunes. That was last week and haven't had a crash problem since then.

Jul 1, 2014 11:17 AM in response to DB Cooperby GregP524,It just started for me too. Worked fine on my commute in this morning and now it keeps crashing. I read about the first reports of crashes on 6/26 but never happened on my phone until just an hour ago. No wifi where I am and I need my phone to be on so airplane mode is out too. Just have to suck it up and listen to music. Hope Apple does something soon.

Jul 1, 2014 11:36 AM in response to JackFosterby Cloudster,This is so ridiculous. My settings are:
Sync podcasts: off
Refresh: manually
Limit episodes: off
Download episodes: off
Delete played episodes: on
Use cellular data: off
There is NO REASON for my 4S to be talking to Apple's back end. Flipping your phone to airplane mode is not a good solution, I can hardly wait for someone to have a car accident and be in shock and unable to call emergency services because of a stupid software problem. I did today's 7.1.2 iOS update, and it's not a fix, we're back to where we were last week.
I spent a bucket getting a 64 gig 4S. This really tempts me to get a 64 gig iPod and go to a base model Android phone, at least then Verizon would give me free tethering with a basic data plan (or so I understand it). I'm not going to do that, I haven't liked my experiences with the Android OS, but it tempts me. If I could find a basic flip phone that had a built-in hotspot, I might seriously consider it. Yesterday I unearthed my Motorola StarTac flip phone, it was awesome seeing it again.
