itunes 7 has resulted in notunes

I'd most definitely appreciate some help...
After installation, the interface window is newly born...none of my playlists are visible. When I click on a song in my music folder 7 disintegrates.

Then, after trashing it all (or so I anyway thought) and attempting to reload 6.0.5, I was given the day-darkening information that "There is nothing to download", while also mentioning that my 10.4.7 1.33 can't handle it.

I just hope my music folder, which has been sevenized, has retained its integrity.

So please, how may I purge this nastiness of an app and get back with the program?
