The 4,1.2 version of Compressor is now available at from the App Store, as are updates to FCP X and Motion. Among the improvements is better Send-to-Compressor responsiveness – something that a number of users here have complained about.

Just to add that based on some preliminary tests, the Send to Compressor export method in 4.1.2 is a significant improvement in responsiveness.

Much faster, all the bugs I had are gone.
Following up on Ben's comments on Pro Res, here are the new choices in the settings drop down – with and without alpha for the Pro Res 4444 variant and for the new HQ codec (which, BTW, we don't have to download; it's installed automatically).
@BenB: Pleased to say that whatever beach balls I had before are also gone. Seems like a good, solid update.
