Somehow I have some 200 podcasts that show up in ITunes but which do not have any associated file.
I cannot delete them.
I think I've tried pretty much everything suggested here, so would welcome any suggestions how to solve this and clear my clogged up list.
Well, after much searching on internet forums, it appears that they are Podcasts that are available on the cloud. I DON'T CARE! I have entries now for podcasts from 2012 that I had already listened to and deleted, and which are now back!
Apple really needs to get its act together on this issue - forcing people to keep old entries is very much unApple and counter-productive as it generates very long lists for some podcasts.
I know Apple likes to think it knows better than its users at times, but this is definitely NOT one of them!
