Cable for studio monitor?

I plan on buying a Rokit 5 G3 studio monitor to plug into the headphone jack of my early 2011 13-inch MacBook Pro. Last time I purchased a studio monitor it was a JBL one but the cable I used to plug into my MacBook's headphone jack didn't work. Must've been the wrong type. Does anyone know the correct cable to adapt the monitor to the jack so I don't have to buy an audio interface?
