Notes Backup on Time Machine??!

Hi and tnxs for reading.

I have a question about notes. I use notes a lot and they are synched between my Mac and iOS devices via iCloud.

I can I restore a note from a previous Time Machine backup? If I open notes and then TM, it automatically opens Finder Window and the Note App is hidden...

Is there a way to have the same result as Mail, for which I can surf my old email in TM?

Many Tnxs.

Cheers.

This is how I'd do it (I have never tried it myself, I will not take any responsibility if anything goes wrong, you should always have a working backup):

Before you start this procedure, remember that your syncing to iCloud. Deleting/changing anything on your Mac will have direct influence on what's happening to your data in iCloud.

1. copy the folder ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/ and it's contents to a safe place (e.g. Desktop or external drive)

2. restore the files in the Notes folder from the Time Machine backup

3. copy&paste to a text document or use "Export as PDF" inside Notes to save the old notes

4. manually delete the files from ~/Library/Containers/com.apple.Notes/Data/Library/Notes/ and replace them with your current files from step 1.

5. copy&paste your old notes

Tnxs. However I am wondering... if I force a TM backup before restoring the old notes, I think that after having done what you are suggesting about pasting the content of the old note I want to recover, instead of replacing the library with your step 1, I think I can go back to restore the last (more recent) backup created with TM, is this correct?
