Canadian Apple Store Montreal

Since I am traveling to Canada Montréal from Europe, I was thinking of purchasing a MacBook from the Canadian Apple store. And I have a few questions about that:

First of all, if I go to the Canadian apple store website, I see the prices in dollars. But are the prices in the actual apple store in Montreal in US dollars, or Canadian Dollars? I can't seem to figure this out. Also I don't know if the apple store website is the actual website of the physical store or the webstore.

Is it possible for me to buy product tax-free, because I live in Europe.

And my final question, does the Canadian Apple store in Montreal have a student discount promotion of any kind?

Thanks in advance!

If you go to the Apple on-line store and select the country at the bottom right of the page as Canada, you will see the prices in Canadian dollars. That should be the price you will then see at the Montreal Apple store.

Whether or not you can avoid the taxes as a tourist you will have to discuss with the store staff, they should know that information.

The US stores have a student price for university students that comes out to around 10% or $200 US on computers. Canada most likely does the same thing. You will need proof that you are a student to receive the discount.

I have never been in an Apple store that would not accept any legal form of payment 😉

Most stores in the US and Canada are more than willing to permit the customer to mix payment forms. All Apple stores accept credit cards, and I have never seen one that imposes a minimum amount on charging so there should not be an issue. Tourist dollars are always welcome 🙂
