Bluetooth on my mid 2013 Mac Air has recently stopped working. It pairs with my Jawbone Big Jambox and I can hear a hiss but no sound. Same with my LG 730 bluetooth headset. I was able to connect to these before with no problems. Restarted, re-paired and I even reset the PRAM and NVRAM. Any ideas?
Correct, but they work fine when paired with my iPhone for example. So it's something with the bluetooth on my Mac Air. I think this happened around the last firmware update on 6/19. Any ideas?

Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:

Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item selected. Move the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Restart the computer.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
I tried this 3 times, issue still exists; after paring with jam box, I hear the confirmation beep from the box but when I try to play something all I hear is a hiss. There's a connection but it seems the audio data is not transmitting. Thanks for your help though. If you have more ideas, please let me know.
I found the issue!!! On a lark I checked System Preferences > Sound > Output > my device (in this case BIG JAMBOX by Jawbone) > Output volume... the "mute" box was checked!! I un-checked it and now all is well. Very strange as I never messed with those settings before. Thanks for your help though, still appreciated!
