how do I record my narrations with new garageband

I had started recording myself narrating my writings in the last version of Garageband (using Mavericks). I guess it updated during the weekend and now not only can I not find my recording but I have no idea how to reset a new recording of my voice. All has changed I cannot find Narrator, I see bright voice, classic voice ... No idea.

Can someone help? I just need to know how to record my own voice using an external mic.

The "Narrator" voices were available in GarageBand '11.

It looks, like you now were using GarageBand 10.0.

Open your Applications folder and look for a subfolder "GarageBand 6.0.5". Is it there? Then open it and look inside. Launch GarageBand '11, version 6.0.5.
