podcast chapter marker

podcast chapter marker

in itunes 7 i just went to play a podcast, but where did the chapter button go that shows us the chapters, time markers, and the ability to click one and take us to that chapter? yes, this podcast has chapters, and previous ones with chapters don't yield the chapter button like in itunes 6 and since the beginnign of podcasts, itunes v5 or so. anybody know the answer? am i just not seeing the button? thanks in advance

macbook rev a 2.0ghz black 1gb ram 120gb hdd, external western digital 320gb hdd, Mac OS X (10.4.7)

I just noticed the same problem...........chapters aren't gone instead, when you select an enhanced podcast a new menu appears 'chapters' that has all the same functionality as the old menu.

one that has chapters in it with artwork and things like that. links appear over the artwork to sites pertaining to whats being talked about at that timepoint.

is the chapter menu up on the menu bar with file and the rest of the options?

Bob, with all due respect, you still did not answer Windsor's question. You're telling us what an "enhanced podcast" is, but not how to select it. I have the same question.

"Chapter markers" are not appearing in the menu for podcasts imported into iTunes 7.0 (even though my GarageBand-created podcast has markers). However, markers do appear for previous imports into version 6. It seems Apple has really fouled this up.

Someone please tell us: How do we create an "enhanced podcast" so that chapter markers appear?

windsor was only asking what an enhanced podcast is. if you are making an enhanced podcast i believe in garageband you just simply have to select a new podcast project and you add a track for images and for links. i have personally never made my own podcast, enhanced or otherwise. there are new updates for ilife 06 including garageband and itunes, released yesterday for itunes and today for the rest of the ilife suite. pick those up via software update and see if that helps.

You should post over here -> Forum: Producing Podcasts

You're telling us what an "enhanced podcast" is, but not how to select it.
Same way you select anything else on a computer.
Click on it.

Not meant to be "smarmy" at all.

You did not say the podcast was not showing up.
You asked how to create one.
Windsor asked how to select them. You go into iTunes and click on the downloaded enhanced podcast.

If you want to create an enhanced podcast, you should post over where you will probably get a better response.
iTunes is used to play back podcasts, not create them.
