update for 7.1.2 frozen iphone 4s

I had the same issue with iphone 4s today while updating to iOS update 7.1.2. Got stuck around 70% during restart for about an hour. I reset my phone manually by holding the home button and power shut down key simultaneously. My iphone when blank and then restarted itself and then everything came back as normal. The phone will vibrate from time to time (while the screen remains dark). Be patient and do not try to play with any buttons while manual reset is taking place. Hope this helps. Good luck.

Same issue here, while updating iPhone 4s to iOS 7.1.2. it froze at 40%. Its now been frozen for about an hour. Not sure what the appropriate action is, any expert opinions available ?

mine did the same thing too

i tried that and followed another option and my 4s is still frozen on an itune thing with plugin but its fully charged sad sad updater and its been this way since noonish

Update successful just around 15mins in iPhone 4s..

My I phone 4s has been stuck after the reboot for over an hour and a half, the instal bar is at ~55%. What is the proper way to to get my phone working again? apple support?

this happen tom today with my iphone 5s and its stuck now on telling me to go to itunes and connect my iphone which i did and did the steps but nothing

My iphone 4s had the same problem, solution applied as a reset.

to reset just hold down both the power and home buttons until your iphone off. after this process connect the machine and everything ok again.

Restart the update, a simple reset solves the problem, my experienced the same failure did reset process and everything went well this updated my iphone and normal functioning, try this alternative.

My 4S 7.1.2 update stopped at approx. 60% progress indicated. I used the recommendation to try HOME+POWER reset. The 4S reset and started normally. I checked Settings and it indicates version as 7.1.2. As far as I can tell phone is working ok.

Same here, i did the home+power reset and everything seems to be working fine. It must be just a stupid update bug. Good luck to everyone!!

Mine crashed and is trying for two hours now to restore and can't even restore. Any ideas besides hard restart?
