Whenever I go to walmart.com, samsclub, home depot or whatever, they show me availability and prices for a store in another part of the state, 3hrs away.
It is always this same town. Somewhere in my computer, it shows me there or maybe I mistakenly entered one time and it was recorded.
Same thing happens on my husband's computer. Is there somewhere to change the zip code or city of where my computer lives?

I did all the suggestions above as well and it is still happening. I called both my internet provider and apple about it and they said they did not have an answer for me and I would need to live with it. I mean any website I go to gives me this wrong city. Somehow other websites are detecting me as the other city. I actually changed my info with walmart before and it still goes back to the wrong city.
Just whenever I go to buy something on any website, I don't want to have to change it. I would like it to put the right city in automatically.
I went to Preferences and time and date. My city was wrong. I changed it. I also reset safari and cleared all history in firefox.
I am still getting the wrong city at those websites. I tried a few new ones that are chain businesses and they guessed my city to be the wrong one.
I have 10.8.5 and broadband internet.

I went to googlemaps and before I could type in anything, it showed a map of that wrong city.

1 was general info
2. the second one I did - I changed the city in time and date
3 and 4 confused me.
I am not sure if it is wifi or ethernet that I have.
If you have a quick and easy idea, I will try it. Otherwise I think I will live with it.
Location Services uses the address that is in the Address Book. Open Address Book (Contacts.app), find your name, and update your address.
If yo plug your computer to the internet via a cable yo have ethernet.
If you connect to a wifi network you should have had to enter a password to join the network.
I just now checked. The address book has my correct address.
I think the computer is haunted
I believe you change it from the Stores item in the walmart.com page's toolbar. I think it's just a zip code change.
That usually means an issue with Location Services. Open Date & Time preferences, click on Location tab. Be sure the city you want is the one that is selected from the list.
How are you connecting to the internet? WIFI? Ethernet?
What OSX version do you have? If Mavericks does Maps show your conect location?

Remember I suggested it first. 😁 Glad it's straightened out.
The issue has nothing to do with Location Services. The websites guess where you are by your IP address, or sometimes by the DNS server you use. Depending on where your ISP has its headend, the guess may be pretty far off. If you use a public DNS service such as OpenDNS or Google DNS, it may be even further off.
All of the other stuff I checked or changed didn't work. I just asked my husband and he said the main office of our internet provider is in that town that all the websites think I am in. So that must be it. THanks.
