iOS 7.1.2 update = recovery mode

follow these steps If you can't update or restore your iOS device you may have to do it a few times.

Me too it happened with me after i updated and now i cant access my iphone and when i connect it to itunes it request that i restore my phone!!! thats really bad........solve it APPLE plz

Ridiculous, naive and useless post.

Any firmware or software update has the potential to go wrong, it's why it is suggested you have a valid backup before you do it.

i Updated 3 iOS devices without any issues, every update I have done has never had issues. I have backed up before every single one.

I guess you missed the link that I provided to the OP.

You're only option is to restore your phone after that is done, you can use your backup to get all your info back.

Also there is no Apple here in this user to user technical forum.

Find a friend who has a computer with iTunes on it, or take it in the Apple store.

both my ipad and iphone seem to be "stuck" - the 7.1.2 update is not progressing. Is this what happened to others here?

Do a reset, hold down the home/sleep button together until you see the apple logo and then release, then wait for the phone to boot back up.

mine bricked up as well. It has never happened to me before so this seems like its an issue with this release. Im having to restore my phone to factory settings and then hopefully i can restore from backup

I have similar problem, after clicking the update, it says that I have to connect to iTunes. After connecting the iTunes, the iTunes doesn't not recognize the phone and I have to restore my phone. However, after clicking 'restore iphone' and the connection to software is stalled and now still have problems with connection. Fyi, I have checked the wifi and internet connection, all seems OK and good.

it almost 4 hours now, I cant use my phone to make phone calls or checking emails.

stuck half way like others, first time ever this happened after an update. Held home and sleep buttons for several seconds... thus rebooted device and it has come up ok it appears .. good luck to all
