I am using the suggestions on a support page to delete an app from my iTunes that I do to use. i.e. select app, go to edit and select delete. My problem is delete is gray and can not be selected. I have highlighted the app and hit 'Delete" Nothing. Any other suggestions please?
First, if this is a default iOS app, it cannot be deleted. Second, open iTunes and be sure you are signed into your account. Click on the Apps item under Libraries in the iTunes sidebar. Locate the app you don't want. CTRL- or RIGHT-click and select Delete from the context menu. You can do this with one or multiple apps.

iTunes under Lib, Got it. I was going to the device attached then Apps trying to do the delete thing. That is why it would not highlight the "delete" function. Thank you so much for the quick response also. I love Apple and the support communities.
There is a simple way for permanent delete in iTunes.. Under "View" menu click the "Apps". or under the main menu click the "A" symbol. It will show all your apps under "My Apps " "My iPhone apps" etc.Right click on the desired app. A menu will popup showing the delete option.Click the delete and answer the question and confirm.
