Reset Password, still won't accept it

I have tried for the past two hours to access my iCloud account. I've gone through iforgot.com and reset my password five times. Each time I reset it, I go to my ipad and try to login with the new password but it won't let me in. I've tried this on three different ios devices AND icloud.com. In spite of the fact that I get a confirmation email telling my my password has been successfully changed, I can't seem to use the new password on my devices or websites. Suggestions?

Contact Apple for assistance resetting the password by going to https://expresslane.apple.com, then click More Products and Services>Apple ID>Other Apple ID Topics>Lost or forgotten Apple ID password. They should at least be able to confirm that the password reset went through successfully.

Thanks for the reply, Randers4. I just tried your suggestion on my ipad, unsuccessfully. Actually, I've tried on three separate devices unsuccessfully. In another anomaly, when I reset my password five times last night via iForgot, each time I received an email confirmation. However, when I try to send an email reminder for the password, it never arrives in my inbox nor spam filter. Weird stuff. At this point, I would like to just delete my current iCloud account and start fresh, but I need the correct password accepted on my devices in order to delete it.
