Can't download podcasts

Since updating to version 11.2.2.3 at the beginning of June I cannot download podcasts. The software stops during the first download and reports that it cannot save the library file due to lack of memory. The computer typically reports about 2.2 Gb of physical memort before launching iTunes but thi falls rapidly to 0 as the first download takes place. I've removed and reloaded iTunes to no effect. As far as I can see the settings are the same but I cannot be certain. Windows version is 7. Any ideas please?

As soon as you open iTunes, click on Music rather than Podcasts, and let the downloading start on its own. Don't interrupt it until it's done. It sounds weird but it works. This was driving me nuts until I found this answer in another thread. Good luck.
