Can I use a Cricket Wireless SIM Card on an iPad Mini Retina w/ Cellular?

I'am planning on buying an iPad mini with cellular capabilities and was wondering if I could use a cricket wireless card to access the internet?

Best bet would be to contact Cricket and see if they support iPad cellular access (I believe the answer is no, but Cricket would be the best source of that information).

I am using a spare cricket SIM in my Air2. Works so far. I activated the SIM with an old iPhone first then moved it to the iPad.
